Change Your Lunch
I don’t just mean eating healthier foods or going on a diet. I mean completely changing the way that you currently do lunch.
.
If you eat lunch at your desk, stop. If you constantly go out to eat for lunch, stop. The healthiest way to do lunch, not just for your body but also for your mind, is to get up and walk away from the desk.
.
Pack your lunch every day so that you are not tempted by those unhealthy restaurants. After you are done eating, take a quick walk around the office..

Change Your Work Space
Right now, your desk is probably set up to be convenient. I get it. That is how most of us operate.
.
You need to make it inconvenient so that you move. This could be as simple as moving the trash can across your cubicle or office. It could mean putting your printer or copier on the other side of the room or office.
.
Whatever you can do to make yourself get up will help you to shed some extra weight.

Don’t Just Sit There
Once you get started on a task, you are probably totally focused on that task until it is complete. While that is awesome in terms of productivity, it is not very beneficial when it comes to losing weight.
.
Before you start a task, set stopping points in your project. During these stopping points, you need to get up and move. Whether you walk around the office for five minutes, or you walk up and down a flight of stairs, moving is the key here.
.
You can set your breaks for every hour or every half hour. Obviously, you still want to get your work done, but you will feel and look better if you are giving yourself time to move.

Change Your Seating Arrangements
I’m sure that you have the perfect office chair that supports your back and is totally comfortable. You can slouch in it and re-position yourself with ease.
.
Kick that office chair to the side for 20 – 30 minutes, off and on, per day and get yourself an oversized exercise ball to sit on. Basically, you want to go from your office chair to your ball for twenty to thirty minutes at a time and then go back to your office chair.
.
By doing this you will force yourself to sit up straight, gain better posture, and you will have to balance yourself of the ball all day long. This will help strengthen your legs and your core muscles, which equals more muscle and less fat in those areas.
.
If you work in an office setting, make sure that this change is allowed before you roll your big ball into your work space.

Toss the Treats
There is always a desk in the office that has a big bowl of super inviting candy in it. Hopefully, it is not your desk. But if it is your desk, toss the candy. You are more likely to snack on it if it is sitting right in front of you.
.
Instead, put healthy snacks in the office refrigerator. This means that you will have to get up to go and get them, which will get you moving, or it will deter you from snacking. Either way, it is a win-win situation.
.
Just because you work in an office, or a in a job that does not promote much physical activity, does not mean that you have to forgo your waistline.
.
There are many good workout programs; try them out when you have time. But when it comes to being stuck at work, these super simple tricks can keep yourself healthy and feeling great in the workplace.
